Barnsley are reported to be very keen on landing Tom Bradshaw this summer.
The submitted a bid for the star player but it was rejected on the basis of a poor transfer deal. Barnsley were alleged to have submitted a bid for £250,000 but Walsall want close to £1million to the deal to go through. The 23-year old youngster is set to enter the final stages of his contract at the Banks’s Stadium and is likely to join in the exodus ongoing at the club this summer.
The Tykes are now set to increase their offer for the player so his club can release him for the move. Rangers also want the player’s signature but are yet to submit an official bid. Barnsley are reported to be interested in returning with an improved bid for the Welsh striker.
Aside Bradshaw, Barnsley are still pursuing Charlton Athletic winger Callum Harriott. Their previous bid was earlier turned down but there are reports that the club will improve their offer for the 22-year old. Harriott is also in the final year of his deal with his club and Barnsley want him to play for them in the coming season.
On the other hand, Walsall winger Romaine Sawyers, who was named as the League One PFA Team of the Year, will rejoin his former Saddlers boss Dean Smith at Brentford after rejecting a three-year contract to remain at the club. The 24-year old rising star wants out and has remained adamant despite being out of contract. John Egan, a defender with Gillingham and Southend goalkeeper Daniel Bentley are also set to join Sawyers in the move to Smith’s team. Smith already mentioned that the deals would be done as the pre-season plans begin. He says he has other plans for the club as they head into another season.
