The former Newcastle United midfielder has been suffering from a number of injury problems over the last few years. Hence, Tottenham decided to send him out on loan to his former club Nottingham Forest in the hope of giving him regular first-team football. He has excelled in the month-long loan spell at the club, which could be prolonged according to sources close to the player. Jermaine Jenas recently scored a goal for the club in the 4-1 victory over Barnsley.

It is believed that Nottingham Forest are currently conducting negotiations with Tottenham over the possibility of extending his loan spell. The Nottingham Forest manager Sean O’Driscoll has said that he would be extremely delighted to keep Jermaine Jenas at the club even if it means only for the next few weeks. The 29-year-old former England international has made an instant impact at the club. Sean O’Driscoll also added that Jenas is extremely keen on getting his career back on the track. The serious Achilles injury suffered last season almost threatened to bring his career to an end.

“He has been really good. Sometimes you are wary about getting a big name from the Premier Division. But he has been an influence on things. We have used his opinion on some things.
