WELL DESERVED BREAK

The Barnsley manager Keith Hill has said that his players got a necessary and a well-deserved break from the rigours of playing in the league due to the international break. Barnsley have made a decent start to the Championship season after winning two matches up until now. However, the situation could have been totally different had they lost the match against Bristol city during the weekend. Prior to the Bristol city win, Barnsley were coming on the back off three consecutive defeats that has put a lot of pressure on Keith Hill. Now, the fresh and reenergised, the manager has said that he and his players are looking forward to the match is against Blackpool and Blackburn.

This is going to be at a few weeks for Barnsley because they will be facing the title contenders like Blackpool, Birmingham city, and Blackburn Rovers in the space of a few weeks. However, Keith Hill is unfazed by the challenge as he has a great quality squad at his disposal. The manager has also said that he is hoping to get a few of his players back from the injury table. Bobby Hassle will not be available for the club for the match against Blackpool as he is suspended.

“Hopefully we’ve got a few players back, but we’ll have to assess the situation next week. I’ve never had this many injured players at one time, but the international break has given everyone a welcome break. It’s been a tough start to the season and we have missed key players, but we’ve got to get on with the job in hand and have done well to get six points,” Hill told The Star. Keith Hill is hoping that Jimmy McNulty and David Perkins will be back for selection in time for the Blackpool match.
