Lee Johnson is expected to have a busy transfer window

From the past few transfer windows, Lee Johnson has been focusing in adding youth to his team as he wants to have a squad with younger players who are filled with energy and explosiveness but things haven’t exactly been flourishing in the way that the English manager would have wanted as his team is positioned in the bottom spots of the English League One and are in danger of falling even lower with the possibility of getting relegated.

Lee Johnson already has a pretty vast squad as he has 29 players at his disposal but new players are expected and requested to be signed by the supporters and hopefully sign performers who can help the club in snatching more victories and gain more points.

The squad of Lee Johnson has been diluted after Simeon Jackson, Michael Smith and Conor Wilkinson. All of those players were released by the English manager of Barnsley as he wants to release some of the deadweight from his squad and extend the deals of his more influential players including the likes of: Ben Pearson, Aidan White and Lloyd Isgrove, these loanees have contracts that are on the verge of expiring but Lee Johnson wants to keep hold of them for a longer period of time.

One of the options that Lee Johnson has preferred of doing in regards of signing players is to add new performers on loan deals as this is a cheaper alternative than permanently getting players to his squad. By signing players on loan deals this also gives Lee Johnson to see them performing in the team and not necessarily having to lure them into the team.

Wilkinson and Smith signed short term deals back in September but they failed to make a truly big impact in the team and were eventually offloaded. Lee Johnson is hoping that his upcoming signing will enjoy a better time in Oakwell.
